Mitz. Control who can see your medical records.

Our GP practice uses Mitz, a national, secure and user-friendly online environment in which you decide which healthcare providers are allowed to view and share your medical data. Think, for example, of the pharmacy, GP out-of-hours surgery or medical specialists. This can be important to help you properly and quickly. Your details are only shared if you have given your explicit permission.

Why is consent important?

Healthcare providers sometimes need access to your medical information to provide you with appropriate care. For example, in an emergency situation or when you are unable to provide information yourself. Yet we are not allowed to share your data just like that - only with your permission. Thanks to Mitz, you can easily arrange this yourself.

What if you have already given consent?

Have you previously given permission to share your medical data via the LSP (Landelijk Schakelpunt), for example via a form or via Volgjezorg? Then this permission will remain valid, even if your details are shared via another system. You can review or amend this consent via MijnMitz.nl.

How does it work?

Via MyMitz.co.uk log in securely with DigiD. You immediately see which healthcare providers you have given permission to and you can change this at any time. Only your consent choices are stored in Mitz - your medical data themselves are not here. Your choices are immediately valid and you always retain control.
